Re call-in: It sounds like you were in my Org for call-in. Except you forgot that "confirms" lists were made and attendance was verified on the day of the event. If you hadn't arrived within 15 minutes, you were called again...and again. And if you changed your mind or no showed...you were KRed to whatever service org lines you were on. Some of us were smart enough to realize that being on staff was becoming degrading. Being on staff should never have sunk that low. Staff is where the elite could be found. Now the elite are helping others to see that one can have the tech without degrading themselves.

Pizza Party

ANZO had a $2.5m quota for IAS fund raising. They did it and then set another quota (not sure how much) but a fax came through from CLO saying all staff would be rewarded with a pizza if quotas were met. Well this actually means a 2.5m Pizza. Thats even more extravagant than Tom Cruise's party and the actual contributors didn't even get an invite. How rude. Staff are off my Xmas list Go idle org, I'm with you.

It is that bad. Events are all consuming. I've been in call in evolutions for NY org when I worked at the CLO. All hands after hours, endless calling "blitzes", thousands spent on event promo mailings, rush po's and whole-org general off hat franticness the week of the event. Then orgs have to pay for event halls at a nice hotel, my org does this quite a lot. LRH never talks about these 6 events every year. How about following HCO PL's instead? The public DO NOT want to hear about events. It's not a proven method. Forgot to mention, every event forces a telex and calling "blitz evolution" into orgs to "8c" them to have their act together. Lots of times 5-10 people will be sent on 8c "projects" into orgs to stand over them and make sure they're doing call-in and meeting their sales quotas. DM has redefined Scientology management through his "bright idea" of org crushing, stat smashing insane endless event lineup. If an org can make it through that gauntlet and pay off it's event bills and pfew!, finally it's training and auditing time. Nope. People aren't allowed to train these days. The runway is about 10 courses including the PDC before auditor training. And don't get in the FSC's way, she has a right to steal your grade pc's.

Wow, Idle. I never realized it had gotten that bad! Being on tech lines for most of the time I was on staff I was pretty much immune to the insanity of "all hands" and other group insanities. I could always justify never being at Staff Meetings because I was either in session or in cramming with a PC waiting etc. Now I see that even being one of the most valuable on the planet, doesn't offer any protection any more. I'm glad I got out while the getting was good. Or more accurately kicked out when Davey decided he didn't need all those "gazzilions of technical specialists" anymore and that he was going to train an "army of auditors" with the "Golden Age of Tech". Well I guess that turned into Stalingrad or something similar. Besides who needs auditors when you got Ideal Orgs!

Great post. It's been years since I've been on staff, but I remember many similar situations. A fellow Scientologist in "good standing" and I recently noticed how much we can tell that the staff don't have their hearts in it, when doing call in. The messages we get really show that they don't want to be making that call to get you to once again the "last fundraiser because we will finish it this time".
