Why DM or any other criminal acts the way they act can be found in the Technology. We can understand it, yes, and some even feel compassion for people acting out what they can't control. Somewhere on the track most of us have committed crimes. Unfortunately you cannot change a person who doesn't want help and continues to harm. Knowing why they act out doesn't justify letting them keep acting it out. There are penalties for breaking laws and hurting others no matter what the reason. You can put 2 people in the exact same situation and you can have 2 different ways each will act or handle it. That is also a fact. Responsible people can withhold a compulsion to harm. Those who cannot or will not need to be controlled by others for the safety of the rest of society. But the "Words of Advise" is good to remember. We cannot just dwell in entheta all the time or we just go down tone.

I agree. Good Viewpoint. There are too many criminals running things on planet earth right now. People need to be help and know for themselves that they have the power to change their own lives and the lives of others. Thank you!

Thanks Paul, This is of course a completely valid and ground breaking study and aligns perfectly with LRH's research into the pattern and nature of what he called the Goals Problem Mass. He explained that GPMs are the forgotten residue of past identities the person has been, which are retained deep within the reactive mind, and which comprise fixed patterns of behavior that people fall into. The GPMs are an ancient record of struggle that has taken place over many lifetimes: identities the person lived vs. identities he fought against. LRH found that these identities flicker constantly through the average person's awareness depending on environmental factors, and heavily color reactions. When confronted by a school teacher, the fellow takes on the personality (identity) of "a impatient truck driver." When confronted by a child, he becomes an "abrasive army sergeant." When confronted by a prisoner he becomes an "abusive prison guard." Etc. Some of the patterns of identities contained within the GPMs are common to all people. LRH's amazing lectures on this subject used to be called, "The Expansion of Havingness." I'm not sure what they are called today, but for sure they are some of his greatest, most exciting and eye-opening lectures. It is technology circa 1961. I studied these lectures and wrote the Church's promo for them. That's why I happen to know all about them. Dr. Zimbardo's discoveries in the Stanford Prison Experiment put a fine point on the theory and show in real life just how deadly the [censored]enomena can be. Thanks again Paul.
The Lucifer Effect - Dr. [censored]ilip Zimbardo

Dr. [censored]ilip Zimbardo (see [censored]://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ [censored]ilip_Zimbardo), the Stanford professor who conceived and ran the famous "Stanford Prison Experiment," has a recent book out called "The Lucifer Effect: Understanding How Good People Turn Evil." I read it in my local public library, and it is well worth reading. Even the online write-ups and videos of the Stanford Prison Experiment show how both dispositional factors *and* situational factors influence how people act in extreme situations. One tends to downplay the situational factors and think it is disposition only, as shown in the article above, but Zimbardo's research shows that is not so. Paul

War and Peace, I am a little alarmed by your historical account. Hussein DID allow UN inspectors in to carry out investigations, including into the alleged existence of weapons of mass destruction (in adherence to UN Security Council Resolution 1441). Whilst there were indeed unanswered questions (mainly concerning a quantity of the VX nerve agent), there was co-operation, there was communication, and, significantly, NO evidence of any "WMDs". The US (along with the UK, Australia, Italy, Spain, Poland, Denmark, etc), in violation of the Security Council and the UN Charter, thought "sod it!" and went to war anyway.

Thank you OTB! Finally in addition to an insightful and intelligent look at the past we also have some constructive guidance! Screw DM already! Let's co-audit, let's audit people, let's do assists and ethics cycles on people, let's de-PTS somebody, LET'S HAVE SCIENTOLOGY, DO SCIENTOLOGY AND BE SCIENTOLOGISTS! DM and his cronies are dead already, they just don't know it yet. Their postmortem antics are still important to block and weaken but nearly as important as doing real Scientology. Just my opinion.

Absolutely true. Let's not concentrate on the stops but get the game going. I am with you on that. Concerning DM a few quotes from "Diagnosis and Repair of Groups, (Jan 51, Red Vol I.) "Group Repair is actually a study of the Tone Scale and mental equipment of the leader of a group... Below 2.0, whatever his expressed intentions, the individual works as entheta and enmest and as the tone sinks to 1.0 will actually kill himself and other individuals or groups. He talks of death and emergencies. He advises powerful remedies for "potential death" situations. And although he may seem to work hard to "remedy" the situations he postulates, he will yet produce only reduced survival or death for himself, his associates or his group... That group that values its survival as a group at all would do well to learn group necessity value and how to express it. The group can bring all pressure toward any leader or subleader to effect the highest ARC possible."

Saddam Miscavige

A recent example in History is Saddam Hussein. The United States asked him and asked him and asked him to simply let inspectors view his weapons of mass destruction. The United States warned him they were coming. But he thumbed his nose at the US and continued to rule sadistically with total power. But like DM, surrounded with people who agreed with him, pamper him, and lawyers on high payroll re-assuring him, he just keeps going in his mental Fool's Paradise One day after many warnings, (absence of doing full Danger Formula) the US invaded and Saddam Hussein was hunted down and tried and hung like a common thief. His billion dollars in Swiss Bank accounts and so on did not protect him. I see huge similarities between sadistic Saddam Hussein and Sadistic Saddam Miscavige. All the $10 million dollar check "donations" will not be able to overcome the corruption and sadistic punishment of SO members at INT Base. War and Peace

OTB Great essay. Write more ! There is an HCOB called "Prediction and Consequences" .......A criminal has no thought of consequences, none. He cannot conceive of consequences. ARC wins. ARC rules. ARC cannot be bested. Scientology without real ARC isn't Scientology at all. The terms cannot stand apart from one another. Beating, confining (imprisoning) a being in lock down in time and space, nullifying, invalidating, spitting on, are so out of ARC that you have to see this stems from a madman at the helm perverting Scientology. Only a short few weeks ago he was calling Gold Crew "criminal out ethics scum" that did not deserve the food they ate or the bed they slept on. Imagine that. After SUCH Internet uproar, the sadistic Miscavige still name calls his own crew (who have the highest quals of all to go up lines to INT base)
