In addition to the more obvious ones, there are exact mechanisms Miscavige has used and continues to use in order to dominate, control and enslave those around him to the great detriment of our staffs, public, organizations, the PR of Scientology and its forward progress.  1. The False & Alarming ReportThis mechanism is probably his most used; Miscavige has been using it for three decades, that we know of. Read the incredibly detailed account from Gang of Five (The Secret History of David Miscavige) which describes incidents that took place thirty years ago where Miscavige used this very mechanism to undermine and get rid of a series of his superior officers in the Commodore’s Messenger Organization International (CMOI) so he could increase his power. *(Kha-Khan was the highest status in an ancient army that protected it's owner from internal penalties exactly of the type inflicted by Miscavige to take him out - Thoughtful) The staff members of Martin Samuel’s missions were briefed on why he’d been kicked into oblivion. An eyewitness account states they were told he had “gone woggy, become MEST oriented and unproductive”, that he now “dressed in fine clothes and liked to go out to restaurants with celebrities”. These were just false and alarming reports, black PR in fact with no mention of his actual worth or accomplishments (that his stats were up and he deserved ethics protection). Another reason the stats never recovered is that the above is still only a third of the way through the story. Miscavige continued to use this mechanism right up to the present with many other destructive acts played out on management and other units, not to mention the public, all very well covered by existing reports on the Internet. So for the sake of brevity I am not going to list here the countless other victims that fell to this mechanism. 2. Reprogramming (Brainwashing)(Brainwashing also goes by the names of "behavior modification," "thought reform" and "re-education").Another key reason there wasn’t some mass uprising against Miscavige during the 1980s (or later) despite the fact that he caused such wanton destruction, was due to the fact that he re-programmed staff and Scientologists to his way of thinking (brainwashing, thought reform, re-education -- whatever you want to call it). I came across the claim that Miscavige used behavior modification some time ago, made by others and thought “I’m not sure about that.” And I wasn’t sure, until I’d finished looking into it for myself. Ever since the Chinese managed to influence so many American POWs and turn them towards Communism during the Korean War a great deal of research has gone into what constitutes brainwashing. Its covered in books and displayed on the Internet in great detail and I invite you to look it up further, but in a nutshell authorities state that for brainwashing to be effective it must contain some or all of the following:
For the sake of continuity and clarity lets stay with the same time period (1980s) and take a look at the Int RPF (Rehabilitation Project Force) out at Happy Valley, about 15 minutes drive east of the Int Base in the foothill of Mt. San Jacinto, which was under Miscavige's command and control and to which he sent many of those whose post removal he’d arranged by false report (as covered in the first section) as well as anyone he considered his rival, enemy, a dissenter or rebellious type. Now the only type that was supposed to go to the RPF were those messing up too much for their own good and the good of the group. It was meant to be a last port of call, a place they could get themselves squared away and return to the group. But during this time period at Int many guiltless persons were assigned to the RPF (as covered above). And a good number of those assigned to the RPF who had committed offenses were still unjustly assigned due to the fact that their overall worth (like their long term production record) was never taken into account. During this time period some stellar and incredibly able people swelled the ranks of the Int RPF, it reached well over 120 -- representing a sizable portion of the Int Base executive structure. On the Apollo the RPF might have taken weeks, a few months at most. At Int during this time period Miscavige’s implemented changes to the RPF program which made it take years and you got off when RTC (Miscavige) said you got off. As I was there I can tell you about the conditions first hand. People were crowded into huts with bunk beds stacked three or four high not unlike a concentration camp in appearance. The latrines and showers were really sheds of corrugated iron similar to those in a POW camp or stockade. You had 2 minutes to take your shower. Keeping personal hygiene in was difficult. The food was leftovers from the day before in most cases. You were meant to get 7 hours of sleep per night but in hot, stuffy and cramped conditions the amount you got was often less and those were the nights you actually got sleep, some nights you worked all night. Sometimes you worked round the clock for a number of days. The work was hard physical labor, often grueling construction work in the blistering heat of the desert, heat exhaustion a constant companion during the day, cold often a companion at night. You were not allowed to talk or originate to anyone outside the RPF. There were fewer privileges than in any state penitentiary, far fewer – you could rarely smoke, you could not listen to the radio, watch movies or read books. There was no leisure time whatsoever. Instant punishment was meted out for any perceived infraction. Sometimes an entire group was punished for the offenses of one or two to foster the idea that group members should keep up pressure on each other, which of course they did. Gross infraction could get you sent to the RPF’s RPF for round-the-clock work of the vilest kind or it could get you put back to the beginning of the program adding months or years to your program. When assigned to the RPF, one of the first things you had to do was work out and remedy why you were assigned. As stated above, during this time period (the 1980s, including 1990) a great many were assigned for reasons best known to Miscavige and none that would make any sense. That left people pondering the imponderable. How do you figure out what you did wrong that got you assigned to the RPF when there was no good reason? But you’re not about to be freed unless you come up with one so you invent something that would make sense to Miscavige. But, because you have to “handle” this with auditing and training over the next so many months or years and because you will remain incarcerated until you do, I can assure you that you very much come to believe in your false failing and you very much come round to Miscavige’s way of thinking. And because you never want to go back onto the RPF, when you finally do get off you will do ANYTHING to agree with Miscavige, thereafter. Believe me, I’ve been there and done it. By the time you get off the RPF you tell yourself “I’m never going back, no matter what.” Many would do anything to make sure they didn’t return. And despite being elated that you’re off and despite having had auditing while on the RPF, you feel a certain kind of weakness, an odd sort of instability. I didn’t know what that feeling was until later, much later, when I read the following: "SECURITY: The personal security of the staff member is so valuable to him apparently that when it is undermined (by false accusations and injustice) he becomes less willing and less efficient and is the real reason for a PTS condition." -- LRH, HCO PL 24 Feb 1969 What started out as a re-boot camp that would last weeks on the Apollo, Miscavige turned into something Stalin would have been proud of in terms of re-education, reprogramming and brainwashing because the Int RPF qualified under every point of behavior modification and then some. If you scan down the list of elements that comprise brainwashing and compare those with the Int RPF you will see they are all there. But the guys in the later 80s got off light if you compare the above with what Miscavige did to David Mayo, John Nelson, Julie Gillespie and others out at Happy Valley in the early 80s. He had them living under similar conditions but each running around separate trees all day long under the desert sun. To their credit they had the guts to tell Miscavige to shove it and they left (though that’s not how he tells it). But my point is this: whatever you do don’t buy the idea that Miscavige came around to the idea of behavior modification gradually, he was doing it in the early 80s and he kept right on doing it and is still doing it. Of course Miscavige’s influence was not limited to the Int RPF. By the late 80s the RPF in Los Angeles had well over 300 souls on it. The one in Clearwater was sizable too, plus there were RPFs elsewhere. And all RPFs had shades off this and to get off you had to be approved by RTC and I know people who were on for five years, six years or more. Just as the gulags of the Soviet Union created good little Communists, so the RPFs under Miscavige churned out good little Miscavites. In the last three decades many hundreds have “completed” the RPF, and many hundreds more were reprieved while sufficiently through their program to be a product of the re-education conveyer belt. All in all, Miscavige’s RPF re-educated well over a thousand (possibly more), all willing to salute him with both hands. This huge number of reprogrammed and obliging Miscavites represented a heavy percentage of existing Sea Org members. And they all filtered back into their respective organizations over the years telling their tales to anyone who would listen, spreading Miscavige’s message, amplifying the effect, and in the end producing staffs in our organizations who could no longer stand on their own two feet and think freely with policy or tech because they were so willing to do anything for dictator Miscavige, do anything not to get on his wrong side and so avoid a similar fate to their colleagues. Conditions worsened for allBut behavior modification was not limited to the RPF. Over the years Miscavige made sure conditions for general Sea Org staff worsened, step by step until they came to approximate those of the RPF.If you talk to LRH’s children, as I have, they will tell you things such as the fact that LRH always intended to make liberty (a day off) an every week affair as opposed to every other week. Miscavige made it so that a day off became a non-existent affair. In 1989 he even cancelled Sea Org Day (the traditional, annual holiday in honor of the formation of the Sea Org) the first time that had ever happened. But it wouldn’t be the last and it became quite common not to hold it, all part of the pattern of creating grim conditions for Sea Org staff. Let’s look at how things progressed for the staff under Miscavige at the Int Base, his very own fiefdom, the serfs inspected by him on a daily basis, and how this came to affect the Scientology world at large. Sleep deprivationUnder Miscavige’s dominance liberties became non-existent: no days off. Sleep schedules became crazy and erratic, it was not unusual to get only a few hours sleep a night or have to stay up all night, sometimes night after night. For anyone who was not at Int, the reports and stories on the Internet regarding this point are legion and true. It is absolutely not in doubt. And with RTC Reps ruling the roost in orgs around the world, implementing Miscavige’s detailed orders to the letter, staff in junior Sea Org units and Class V orgs soon felt his whip on their backs and they too went without sleep. Even now I am in touch with staff in different orgs and their stories are full of how little sleep they are getting.Partial sensory deprivationJust as with the RPF, at Int it became such that you were not allowed to communicate with seniors, or other staff for that matter, anything that might indicate any unwillingness on your part to follow the party line. Any comments critical of the regime would land you in serious trouble. This situation filtered down and out from Int to other Sea Org units and from there to the public, especially OTs. Any question that queried the policies of the regime or any statement of disagreement would be met with a violent reaction. Do you think the OT VIIs and VIIIs query Miscavige? No way. Along with Sea Org staff they have been conditioned to be good little Miscavites.Then there’s the heavy stop on communication lines to family and friends of Sea Org members. No cell phones allowed, no personal email, only letters and they are heavily vetted by security. To actually speak with a family member, one has to convince a security guard or MAA to stop whatever he or she is doing and listen in on the phone call. One false word, and you land in trouble. Psychological harassmentMiscavige may be charming in front of the cameras but in person he is a nightmare. He’s inflicted everything from hazing, ridiculing, attacks (verbal and physical), belittling, SRAs (severe reality adjustments, to use his own made-up term) and more. But the worst form of harassment is the fear you feel when in his presence, not knowing whether it’s your day, the day he pounces on you physically or far worse, the day he becomes a one man judge & jury and sentences you to years of incarceration without trial (RPF), or banishes you to some distant corner of the Earth, or casts you into Scientology oblivion (declared suppressive with all the penalties inherent in fair game and disconnection). These last three are the real weapons he wields and he uses them to telling psychological effect every minute of every day.[Note: One of the many reforms that must be made within Scientology once Miscavige no longer dominates us is to abolish the idea that one person, any person, can remove a Sea Org member from his post and assign him to the RPF without trial. Currently CMO messengers have that power and Miscavige has proven that such leads to fantastic abuse]. Inculcation of guiltAt Int, Miscavige rode around the place daily, loudly proclaiming peoples’ transgressions called “overt acts” or “overts” in Scientology. Or he’d angrily point out an individual’s offenses to one and all. Or he’d berate entire organizations formed into ranks in front of him, going on for an hour or more, yelling about how much they’d goofed, gesticulating and practically levitating off the ground such was his agitation, most often because a mere one or two in the 450 at attention in front of him had done something or not done something according to his opinion.And from about 1988 onwards, first the Gold staff meeting and then those of other orgs became places where staff were put on the chopping block: transgressions were fervently pointed out and individuals forced to shamefully confess, often to things that outsiders would be puzzled by (as in what’s the big deal?). All with the result that at present the inculcation of guilt has taken on a life of its own, it’s alive and well as a culture within the Sea Org, certainly for all senior units and orgs, and I know it’s drifted down and out. Try disagreeing with something on the ship or at Flag and you will be immediately thrown on a meter, you’re guilty without doubt, all that remains is to find, “What crimes are you hiding?!” Group social pressureAnd as you can see from the section above, if one person was guilty, all were guilty. The group was regularly punished for the real or imagined crimes of one or two, in violation of Scientology’s Credo of a True Group Member. So the only way out of that trap was to put pressure on your fellow staff members to not goof or not commit overts. But that which you resist, you get, since by assigning attention to that thing, you are in effect granting it life… so the goofs multiplied and consequently the group social pressure rose in intensity until it became insane. And when some became aware of an offense they were quick to rat out the offender to avoid any personal implication which sparked retaliation. It became a dog eat dog war of accusation and counter accusation with the staff fighting each other, no one noticing that the third party* who’d created the witch pit, was now able to sit back and enjoy the melee. All he has to do is occasionally stir the boiling cauldron. The rest of the time he spends going out to movies and baseball games.*(In Scientology parlance, it is a well-known datum that quarrels are generally started and kept going by a hidden “third party.” Joe tells Beth that her husband Howard is a creep. Then Joe seduces Beth. Joe tells Howard that Beth is a liar and hooks him up with a stripper. Howard and Beth start to fight uncontrollably and the marriage spins out of control. All this can be resolved by getting Beth and Howard to spot the actual instigator through a “Third Party Investigation” which any Scientologist knows how to do. - Thoughtful) Dehumanizing of individuals (by keeping them in filth)How about keeping people sleeping under desks for months on end like an army of hobos, sneaking showers when they can? Or having staff members live in tents out in the open, with an open-air latrine for a toilet and use of a bucket to try and clean themselves? How about making staff clean out sewage tanks day after day? Or clean garbage dumpsters for hours on end that will be filled with garbage again the next day? Or making RPFers work around the clock for 2, 3 or more days without a chance to take a shower or even brush their teeth?How about intentionally keeping hundreds of Sea Org members crammed into a leaking, rotting, stinking hovel of an apartment building, with twenty Sea Org members to every small decrepit bathroom? Well, from first hand reports that’s the condition of the Anthony Building in Los Angeles and per those reports Miscavige has toured the place a number of times, is very aware of the conditions but specifically and clearly ordered that the place not be upgraded, that only minor repairs be done, and that what’s left of Scientology’s middle management be kept living in these conditions. As stated above, trends are exported or drift down and outward from Int. So all the good little Miscavites now emulate him all over the world (staff and public) to show their leader how much they’ve got the message. Harassment, group social pressure, inculcation of guilt and the rest have come to replace Scientology technology in our orgs today. So don’t be surprised, when you run foul of a terminal in an org, if they don’t pull out and apply a piece of Scientology but instead do something entirely different. Realize that Scientology’s tech is submerged under a weight; they have been behavior modified to do something else. I challenge anyone; go to an IAS or Org fundraiser or sit in on a fund raising reg cycle. Quite aside from the fact that these shouldn’t be happening at all per LRH, tell me, what do you see? Do you see real ARC being used? Do you see real two way communication? Or do you see thinly veiled harassment, heavy group pressure, an attempt to make you feel guilty, an attempt to get you to just sit there, shut up and listen, into the small hours of the morning when you should be at home sleeping? But you don’t have to answer me because I know you already know the answers. And how can it be that thousands of our staff members have listened to the entirety of the Congresses, every minute of every hour spent with LRH, only to turn around and fail to apply a single word of those lectures? That’s real Scientology on those CDs, how come they’re not applying it? I have witnessed this phenomenon with hundreds of our staff. They listen to the lectures and promptly return to their robotic compliance to Miscavige. And same goes for the basic books they’ve all been reading. I do not see the contents of those books being applied in our orgs today. Now, anyone in Scientology is in it because they love LRH or they love his tech (seen it work) or both. So how much force do you think it took to submerge the tech and strong arm our staff into operating on something else? It would have taken a great deal of incessant force to modify their behavior to that degree. And that force has been operating and it’s been part of the scenery for so long no one ever looked for its source, until now. 3. The ImplantIn HCOB 11 April 1982, Sec Checking Implants, LRH describes the different forms of implants. Of one type he states:"BRAINWASHING: This is the wrong-use term to describe implanting by deprivation and physical and mental duress. It is said to be based on the Pavlov dog experiments (but it was not developed by Pavlov). The theory is that when a victim is subjected to enough punishment, he will forget his former allegiances and can be 're-educated' politically." In the same reference LRH also talks of another effective method called imposing silence, the “you mustn’t tell” implant and remarks on how damaging it is. And in Scientology 8-80, when talking of implants, LRH states: "The object was slavery, a compulsion to be good and obedient…" Now there is no doubt that behavior modification comprised the most major use of implanting by Miscavige but it was not his only use of implants. How about sudden physical attacks on people, in which he used the element of surprise and followed up with physical blows while screaming commands? Why do most of the experiences we read on the Internet talk of Miscavige pouncing suddenly, without warning, leaping on someone from across the conference table or flying at them, fists flailing, or hitting them, open palmed across the ear? Why do most observers or recipients of the abuse report the fact that they did not see it coming? The answer: He used the element of surprise to amplify the shock factor and reinforce the intensity of the incident upon his victim. Why is one of his favorite phrases: “You know what you did wrong. You know what you did.” Or some similar statement said over and over again to the victim who usually has no idea what he’s talking about? Well, my friends, if you want to stick someone in an incident, throw in a big fat mystery, that will stick them in it but good. And you can’t explain it all away by saying: “Miscavige just got mad.” These were timed and contrived incidents, sometimes elaborately set up, not momentary, spontaneous anger. Miscavige intentionally went at people when they were unawares. And it wasn’t about putting anyone in the hospital, it was all about the control, all about the implant. And it wasn’t just physical attacks. He used the factors of surprise and mystery to heavy effect when put together with verbal/emotional attacks, intentionally restimulating (means “creating profound mental, spiritual and emotional agitation to”) his victim and using that restim in place of a physical beating. Below is a recent report from a Sea Org executive about an incident that took place in the mid 80s. "I was alone in my office. It was so quiet I could hear the muffled sounds of traffic and people going about their business beyond the walls and windows as I worked on my reports, alternatively reading and then typing. "I was deep in thought when the telephone to the outside line rang. I put the receiver to my ear but immediately had to move it away as a screaming, growling, snarling, voice on the other end of the line immediately launched into a string of obscenities so full of hate and loathing for me that even to this day I cannot bring myself to tell anyone the words that were actually used. But what was clear that I can relay, the words were directed at me with total venom and the caller left me in no doubt that he thought me total SP. "The frothing, fanatical, obscene tirade continued non-stop for something like twenty minutes and included every possible cuss word and profanity, yet suddenly it was over as quickly as it had begun. Without any signal the line clicked dead and I was once again alone in the stillness of my office. "The caller did not say what prompted the call, what I had done to bring it on or what caused it. But the caller repeatedly asserted that I knew the cause. I did not, and I have spent the last twenty plus years trying to figure it out. Sometimes I wished I could just say “it didn’t happen” or “it was just a bad dream.” But then I remember the unmistakable voice of David Miscavige at the other end of the line, an incredibly senior executive within Scientology and then I tell myself that, sadly, it did happen. "Apart from writing this report I have only managed to bring myself to tell one person of it, my wife, and that quite some years after the fact and even then I included no details. I felt on a withhold. How was I supposed to explain to anyone that David Miscavige, a leader in Scientology had launched into a twenty minute insane rant against me? They might think me a liar or worse. Besides, maybe it was me, maybe there was something wrong with me that had brought this attack about. And even though I had done nothing wrong I felt I had to withhold it at least until I could figure out why it had occurred – but I never could so I held onto it and said nothing as if, in some weird way, I had committed an offense. I carried it like a burden. "I thought it was only I who had experienced this type of incident with David Miscavige, until I read reports of similar incidents on the Internet which were in many cases far worse than the one I’d experienced. Only then did I gain some relief in the knowledge that whatever it was that was wrong with David Miscavige, it was not my doing." Even by telephone Miscavige was able to deliver a devastating effect. And again this report shows that he has been using these techniques from the start and to punch home my point I refer you to the incident similar to the one above that took place in the van right after Miscavige smashed the public telephone with a tire iron as reported by Gang of 5. That was thirty years ago. I believe I am justified in thinking that a far greater number of both physical and emotional attacks (attempts to implant) have taken place at the hands of Miscavige than generally thought. Not simply because he has been doing it for thirty years, but because just as with the ex Sea Org executive above, I don’t think everyone has come forward and I believe many incidents took place with few or no witnesses. And it wasn’t just with Sea Org members and it wasn’t just on men. I personally know of an attack Miscavige made on a female executive of a Class V org, pinning her against a wall while he yelled at her. And I witnessed another incident where Miscavige was rude, aggressive and threatening to a pregnant women which included the mystery sandwich of the unanswerable question just to stick her in the incident. Further, I know of another incident where Miscavige poked a woman so hard with his bony finger in the Int Landlord Office of the Int Base that she fell down. He had to return later and do a contact assist to reduce the pain and injury he caused by physically assaulting this WOMAN. So the mathematician in me tells me that if I take the number of incidents I know of, and extrapolated that across thirty years, and thousands of Sea Org members, thousands of staff in other orgs and hundreds upon hundreds of visits, tours and inspections carried out by Miscavige, it all adds up to thousands of these incidents. In other words not just ten or a dozen or fifty spectacularly vicious attacks at Int but a widespread effect upon the sanity of our staff and all the collateral damage that that implies. 4. Gag Orders and BanishmentIn the best traditions of totalitarian dictators Miscavige very effectively used gag orders and banishments to silence his dissenters or make them disappear.Some of these were an effective extension of the implant techniques. Take for example the hoops you have to jump through when leaving staff or the Sea Org. Usually you must do heavy physical work (why?) under heavily restricted liberty (why?), you are under watch (why?) you feel the duress (you could be declared at any moment). Some stories describe actually being imprisoned for months or even years with driver’s license, car keys, passports, documents and valuables held hostage in a locked safe as a guarantee you will complete the process. But what’s the process? It’s you being conditioned into cooperating with the “authorities.” If you were on staff at the Int Base and witnessed David Miscavige commit any crimes, you will called into a room and handed your printed SP declare -- surprise. In the shock of that, you will be handed divorce papers from your husband or wife -- all prepared in advance while you were “on the decks.” And the final move, while you are under all this psychological stress, is some greasy, greasy, greasy, greasy, greasy, nervous, fidgeting, sweating whore of a lawyer telling you “you must not tell, you must not say anything that happened here. If you do, you will immediately become liable to the tune of $1,000,000 for every utterance.” Damn it, that’s an implant, it’s a blatant attempt to instill in you the command that you can’t say anything to anyone. A very effective form of implanting. The lucky few who don’t get declared suppressive, still receive all the rest of the above. Those that are declared are effectively banished and gagged because no one in good standing will talk to them, under penalty of declare themselves. Then there’s the other form of banishment: getting sent to some remote region of Earth, so far away from family and friends that you are effectively gagged and out of the way. Like the young guy from Texas who supposedly screwed up in New York as a Sea Org member and was sent to … Australia, many thousands of miles away from his family. Or the young man from Australia who because of his honesty, was banished to... Texas. Miscavige got heavily into this kind of banishment. Today, there is another term for this kind of banishment: human trafficking. It’s illegal because it violates every concept of human decency, humanity, civil and human rights. But Miscavige is still doing it! Guess where the staff come from who are manning up the new “Ideal Orgs” -- transplanted from across the planet, bereft of family and friends, and normally overseen by staff off-loaded from the Int Base. 5. An Impossible Test To PassI sometimes wondered why those who leave Scientology seem to have a renewed thirst for sociology, history or similar subjects and whether their particular inquisitiveness matched mine? That my experience with Miscavige told me that there was something he did, some mechanism he used, that was not covered in the materials of Scientology, something reminiscent of the past that I could not put my finger on. And it irritated me until I came across it one day.I was reading a book on English history and there it was. In 1644, the first year of the English Civil War, when the Puritans (Roundheads and Parliamentarians) were attempting to wrest control of the country from King Charles (Cavaliers and Royalists). Almost at once the puritan parliament gained control and began to suppress the people. Later that same year they would ban the celebration of Sea Org Day for the whole country (sorry, Freudian slip, I meant to write Christmas) because allowing people to have fun ran counter to the intention of creating slaves. Amid the struggle one Mathew Hopkins came to prominence. He grabbed some power for himself and became the self-appointed Witch-Finder General to the Parliament of England, touring Sussex, Essex and others in search of witches. His technique was very simple. Contrary to what I had always thought about witch hunts, it wasn’t the accusation that was so damning for any intended victims, as that alone was not enough to convict. Hopkins and his peers were successful due to one thing and one thing alone. They applied a test that no one could pass, and that test “proved” the subject was a witch. To be condemned as a witch and punished a person had to have the mark of a witch upon them. This commonly was a boil or other similar defect of the skin. But where no boil was found Hopkins would apply the “cut test”, drawing a very blunt blade across their skin, if they didn’t bleed (and of course they didn’t) they were guilty. Or the prick test because witches had special “dead areas” on their bodies that produced no feeling. Of course Hopkins used a special implement that caused no pain so they didn’t react and were found guilty. It is said that four hundred witches were sent to the gallows by Hopkins alone, and countless others condemned to jail. At a time when the average wage was 5 cents a day, Hopkins was paid $2.00 per witch found, a very lucrative operation. But my point is this. The two work practices that Miscavige has constantly done throughout the time of his dictatorship are inspect and review. Other than events and goofing off that’s all he does. He’s either inspecting every corner of the Int Base or he’s reviewing submissions of all kinds. When he’s not doing that he’s out and about doing inspections of one organization or another. (So as not to present a false picture, Miscavige does spend a fantastic amount of time just goofing off -- going to movies, diving, football games, car races or golf). I challenge anyone to count up the number of inspections and submission reviews he does. His actions are that of someone incessantly searching. Now if you read the Data Series you will notice that at no point does LRH say or even imply that any area or activity would be without an outpoint* of some kind or another. It’s just not written anywhere. Other yardsticks are applied such as: is an area achieving its purpose or does it have some semblance of an ideal scene? Ultimate perfection does not exist and will not exist so having some locatable outpoints in any area or activity is just condition normal for planet Earth. *(An “outpoint” in Scientology is any illogical fact or something out of place like a teddy bear in an ice cream mixer. Conversely, a pluspoint is a logical fact or something in its correct place. Any scene contains a mixture of outpoints and pluspoints. The key is where a great number of outpoints exist... there you will find the majority of them trace back to a single cause called the “Why.” The Why opens the door to a handling since by addressing the Why, you solve the problem. The Data Series reveals the fundamentals of logic and the correct use of data. Miscavige has perverted LRH's Data Series technology to create a Witch Test: when he “inspects” your area or “reviews” your submission, any discovery of an outpoint establishes you guilt. Instead of receiving $2 per witch, Miscavige is free to remain the all-powerful “Chairman of the Board” who dictates his own level of income. So while every other Sea Org member receives $46 a week -- if they get paid at all -- Miscavige receives some $2,800 a week in addition to perks, such as his own mansion at the Int Base, and posh living quarters in Clearwater, Los Angeles, England, the Freewinds, etc.; plus a fleet of cars, vans, motorcycles; a continual rain of gifts from public and staff including cameras, lenses, and every kind of gadget; an enormous wardrobe comprised of $500 Egyptian cotton shirts, expensive suits, spandex uniform pants(?); his own personal entourage including a 5-star chef, hair dresser and makeup artist who travel with him wherever he goes; plus access to ALL the millions brought in by Scientology that he can spend on private investigators to harass his enemies or in any way he wants. -- Thoughtful) Same goes for a submission (any proposal might have a locatable outpoint) but the question should be, will this proposal do the trick? Now I don’t know about you, but anyone I’ve ever talked to has agreed with me that if Miscavige was good at one thing it was walking into a room or area and sniffing out any outpoints within seconds. It was eerie, I think he could have done it blindfolded. After some years seniors even began to brief their juniors not to attempt to hide or cover up any outpoints because Miscavige would find them anyway and any attempt to hide them would just make him all the more angry (and prove you all the more guilty). Same went for written submission, man he could smell an outpoint from across the room. Again, I’m not saying the odd outpoint is anything out of the ordinary I’m just saying that Miscavige made it his business to be very good at finding them. Remember those inspections? Knowing he’s coming, perhaps standing at attention, some people doing all they could to hide the fact that they were trembling. Hoping that for once it would go well. Miscavige striding menacingly into the room, looking at you as if he knows your inner most secrets, enjoying your discomfort, confident he’ll find whatever you’re hiding, everyone hides something. He’s the big man in power, he has you and he knows it, and he relishes every minute of it. But you just want it over, the stress of the tension too much to bear. The one blessing being that it’s over quickly, as if by magic trick he goes straight to where you didn’t want him to go. Ah ha! Gotcha! Now here’s my point. Over the last twenty eight years Miscavige has found and made a lot of people (us) guilty. That has been one of the ways he has maintained his “superiority”. But it struck me when studying history that just like the puritanical witch-finder, he cheated. Miscavige applied a test no one could pass and we all missed the slight of hand, the ruse, the con, usually because it was our outpoint he’d found and rubbed our noses in and also because we were totally preoccupied at the time wondering what the sentence/punishment would be. Would it be yelling, a slap, the RPF? His inspection or review, resulting in his finding of “an outpoint,” was simply a test you could not pass. You never could. It was a trick. You were guilty before it took place. The only question was whether he was going to hang you or let it go. But in every instance one thing was for sure, you felt and knew the power that Miscavige, the self appointed Witch-Finder General, held over you. And the stress experienced during the inspection was the worst of its kind. I am not trying to make anyone feel good about some sub standard piece of work they might have produced in the past. What I am saying, based on review, is that I worked with some incredibly able people over the years in the Sea Org, I’ve not met any since who were more able, and those Sea Org members deserved better than the old witch-finder trick of a test no one could pass, which was designed to persecute not uncover real situations to handle. No inspection by Miscavige that I ever witnessed was done per any policy I could name. 6. The Big Lie -- False Stats, Lies & False PRIt’s a fact that most Scientologists and most staff (including Sea Org) would forgive Miscavige anything, any level of destructiveness, if the purpose of Scientology was being achieved. The false rationale behind such a state of mind is a perversion of the Scientology datum of the greatest good for the greatest number of dynamics. The problem is that, in this instance that datum doesn’t apply, because the rest of Scientology materials tell us that anyone destructive will not achieve the purpose of Scientology for themselves or the group. They will create something else, something destructive.But Miscavige knows this so he invents another lie, the Big Lie that Scientology is expanding by leaps and bounds, it’s huge in size and scope and it’s doing well. He knows that if you think Scientology is achieving its purpose you won’t ask any difficult questions, certainly not in his direction, in fact you won’t even have questions. It’s the real reason for all the events, the dazzling statistics and the staged shots. Let’s look at the big lie, the overall statistic of the number of Scientologists in the world. I’ve heard a number of figures from Miscavige and every time he quoted millions. I’m sorry to say that is a total lie. Let’s define a Scientologist as someone taking service or likely to take service at some point in the future (attend their church). Missions: Now most missions have just a handful of staff with a handful of public. Go look at some if you don’t believe me. I have been to a number of them recently and I see what would have been defined as a group in days gone by -- two staff or 6 staff and a similar number of public. I would be being generous if I said mission public numbered 30,000, very generous. CL V Orgs: Again, most are small and failing. The small ones have less then 10 staff with 30 public taking service with perhaps 100 more in the field. The larger ones have maybe 50 staff and 100 public on lines with a few hundred others that might take service at some point in the future. There are around 10 or so that are bigger but most are much smaller. Again, if I’m generous and take the medium-sized ones at the average 600 public x 150 orgs equals 90,000 public. Sea Org Orgs and FSO: Los Angeles, Sydney in Australia, St Hill in England, Copenhagen in Denmark and the FSO in Clearwater. Well, the first thing you have to know is there is overlap of public between the orgs, many public are on more than one mailing list. At any one time these Advanced Orgs have a few hundred on lines, on average and have a few thousand to call upon which is why after many years of intense work by orgs we have only around 6000 OT VIIs, the number of Advanced Org public just don’t exist to support greater numbers, around 40,000 all told. Now throw in less than 10,000 staff worldwide of all types and the total number of Scientologists number around 170,000. Now I’m not saying that there aren’t more central file folders in our orgs but that would lead me to the next question: Where did these people go? Why did they fade away in the last twenty years? I can prove it another way. In the latest Scientology News (page 5), Miscavige claims that sixty million LRH books and lectures have been sold in the last two years. Well, you don’t have to be a genius to know that’s the Basics (books and lectures). Well, there are around three hundred individual books and lectures in a full basics set. If 10,000 Scientologists (the dedicated ones put under heavy duress) were forced to buy 10 sets each per year (I know a number who have twenty sets in storage), over two years that’s 10 (sets) x 2 (years) x 300 (books & lectures) x10,000 (paying public) = 60,000,000 books and lectures in the last two years. Alternatively, 20,000 people forced to buy 5 sets per year, over two years. Or 40,000 forced to buy 2 to 3 sets per year, over two years. And that’s if you believe the 60,000,000 figure and I’m not sure I do. Many OTs were forced to buy multiple sets for nameless people or donate to library campaigns over the last two years. The strain on the few was very heavy. But any way you want to cut it, it doesn’t add up to a lot of people. Sixty million items over two years sounds fantastic at first glance but actually it proves we are small fry. And if Scientology is small fry what the Sam Houston has Miscavige been doing over the last thirty years? Crashing the stats is the answer. Burning question: why were many orgs and missions bigger in terms of public and staff in the 70s and 80s than they are now? And just to prove again that Miscavige is lying, in the same magazine he states there are 195,000 volunteer ministers and that we have engaged 20 percent of the Earths population in the last 12 months with VM and similar programs (page 4). Well, first off, if every Scientologist in the world was a volunteer minister we still wouldn’t reach 195,000. As for reaching more than a billion people in the last 12 months through VMs, Narconon and the like, well the average Narconon might handle 50 addicts in a year so you do the math, its utterly impossible, Miscavige’s assertion is just another part of the weave added to his fabric of lies. ConclusionI could go to town, analyze Miscavige’s stats and assertions and show you the falsities but that’s the wrong sequence, it’s the wrong end of the stick. Written by T. Paine |

This is one OT that won't. There is a pond at the Int Base waiting for Miscavige until the end of time. Maybe then, and only after all good beings have been set free, can he apply for readmission to the group.

That my previous C/S Matteo has disappeared, that my following C/S Mark Campbel got almost blind. That the ep check was weird and getting nowhere. After I left, I realized getting informed on internet that I was right. But anyway I completed OTVII, OTVIII, L11, L12,L10 out of the church, because Scientology works and is to bekept alive.

I have no idea if Miscavige is working for anyone else. His destruction is of such an intensity and depth that it could be pure espionage -- he qualifies as an enemy agent under every point of HCO PL Counterespionage.

I have never been an admin person and even though I was on staff in the late 80's for 2 1/2 years, I don't really understand the terms for upper management, really had no interest in learning. For someone like me, this is hard to follow on who is who, like what is CO IXU? I was only doing my internship on staff at that time and wasn't involved with management in the Org.
What really got my attention while I was surfing the web was the data on "Friends of LRH" but it looks like there is not much more going on with that site. I totally understood it because that is where my interest lies, in the tech.
Your site is very informative. Another problem I have with reading some of the articles is that it seems like the writers are writing to ex-SO. So when names come up, it seems like we are to know who these people are, which of course a public has no idea.
But, as a reader will I still get the underlying facts, which of course are very upsetting to find out. DM is more than a sociopath, this is a term I would use for a wog with this type of behavior. For someone who lied his way to the top of Scientology, got rid of anyone he thought would be in his way, destroy Scientology Missions, caved in SO members with gang bang sec checking, destroy case gain and making a cases worst and degrading members of the SO by reading their auditing sessions out loud to other SO members, perverting tech... just to name a few of his deeds, is more than a sociopath.
He's solving a present time problem which hasn't in actual fact existed for the last many trillenia in most cases, and yet he is taking the actions in present time which solve that problem. The guy's totally stuck in present time, that is the whole anatomy of psychosis. (SH Spec 61. 6505C18)
Does this justify his behavior...of course not, he needs to be taken out fast. He is blocking our road out, is that the problem he is trying to solve, how to stop Being from taking the road out? Maybe, or maybe it is more sinister than that.
