Sometime I find myself considering what is happening
to some of the people I used to call friends who are still up at Int. After all I really cared for a number of these people and I really wish no harm to them even if a few of them did upset me immensely. I sometimes want to “save” them.
Recently while re-listening to a tape from the Success Congress called the Over Act – Motivator Sequence I found something that helped put it into perspective for me.
The specific reference that came to mind was the following:
“Now what – what kind of a mess do you get on some individual who has been, perhaps, the chief executioner of a nation? Where are you going to find this boy on the track? What state are you going to find him in?
“In the first place he has done a horrible thing. He has said, "The acts I am engaged on are official acts and are the overt acts of the nation I work for." Makes him totally irresponsible for his own acts, doesn't it?
“Now look, I'm not going as far as to say that the reason we have insane governments is because no public official is personally responsible for his acts. But the definition of an insane man is one who is not personally responsible for his own acts. Do you agree with that?
“No, I won't go so far as to say that. This does not automatically make all public officials insane, but they'll get there!”

I have come to realize that everyday some (my friends or not) decide to follow the policy of DM over Ron or uses the policy of Scientology in an altered way to destroy their fellows for the “greater good” of the Church. They are commiting the “Official Act” or at least that is what they tell themselves.
A computation that runs somewhere along the line of:
- Scientology is the greatest good for the greatest number.
- The Church ensures Scientology exist.
- DM runs the church.
- DM’s orders are the greatest good.
- What I do under his orders is not an overt.
- I am saving Scientology.
It is sad to say these fellows are doomed unless they can take responsibility for the overts that they are committing. You hear OSA screams that the church has done nothing to deserve this attack. In those individuals view point they have not. After all it was not an overt it was an “Official Act”. They believe it is the “greatest good.”
Any one who has been in the SO has done this if he/she held an exec post. I have been guilty myself. But I am sure many of us have decided our “official acts” were overts and have spoken out to stop this from continuing.
This leads to why you can not save people there.

Remember that those SO members are like the public officials Ron is talking about. Every overt they commit allows them to commit further overts and spins them in. Every time an SO member sees these things happen and does nothing to stop it he has also taken on an overt of omission. It is his “Official Act”. Now he is caught in the trap. But how does this trap work?
“Now, the individual was almost wiped out the day that somebody invented a thing called an "official act." Now, it was an official act that was an invention – that was the invented thing. Nobody invented a "personal act." But somebody invented this thing called an official act. That says, "An act I am doing for another dynamic for which I have no responsibility of any kind." If the guy piles up enough of those, he's had it because he doesn't take any responsibility for the things.
“Now, he has to get irresponsible motivators to balance it up. And that's pretty hard to do. He has to get hit by hit-and-run drivers that were drunk and he has to always have something happening to him that he didn't have anything to do with. You see how this would work?
“This is quite interesting, the whole subject of overt acts and motivators, because it's what balls up a time track. It's the basic grouper. It's basically occlusion – that's occlusion. The final philosophy of occlusion is all contained in this thing. It's the idea of being trapped.”
– LRH –
For all of you here reading this and taking responsibility for your “Official Acts” then you can be free of the trap. For those that refuse the truth and continue in the present time overts there will be little hope for our saving them. They have lost their individualism. It can return when they receive enough motivators or they personally realize that an overt on a dynamic is an overt.
From experience I would say that the only time they realize the overt is when they become the receipt point of the “Official Act”.

There is a body of valid material for use by the 3D, the Justice Codes, including say Conditions and their use for a 3D member. Abuse of these, with false declares, subsequent false PTS conditions and disconnections, false Condition assignments, false labels all around has 'charged up' the subject. In fact, it is so charged up now with a number of beings that ANY mention of it seems to by-pass tremendous charge. I think that has been a concerted campaign of abuse to cause the subject to come into disrepute and intentionally cause it to fall into disuse since it has caused so much upset by being abused.
'Official Acts', when they ARE overts, fall under the above quotes from the LRH lectures. However, valid use of a body of material that is critical for success of the group don't constitute 'official overt acts' and in today's milieu sometimes the two are confused with so much abuse sitting as 3D engrams or personal motivators.
Again, I think it has been intentionally brought about where SP/PTS, Conditions and any of the various tribunals, are all so sensitive that they are now in disrepute and in fact, railed against, sort of just like an SP would want so he himself would avoid detection or a standard handling.
Where I differ from you is I think it's salvagable. I believe it's inevitable if societies problems don't become overwhelming.
These people in management are very smart. Lots have cognited a long time ago based on my own discussions when I was in and various things get in the way of action, so the solution is for us to be loud and it'll stick as a postulate and we'll fix it, because we'll be a big force too. Lots of people in the SO know very well what's happened, they don't have the complete picture of looking at these websites but it's enough. Also I used to grade IQ tests of staff and raw public and every place I've worked had a bunch of geniuses.
It's just going to take more push from us and then more and more and it'll filter into upper management. If we got 10% of public openly against Miscavige and communicating then Miscavige is real isolated and afraid to make any more outrageous moves. But it's got to be carried through because he's not taking back the precedents he's set. There's probably 10% of management and public which is not salvagable, they'll stick by Miscavige if he went openly type 3. The rest wait silently for a certain momentum.
Anything like this is going to seem small for a while but with this much truth it always grows. To step up early on , people only need to cognite that there's no rightness involved with sticking with a huge squirrel. Once the magnitude of the crimes is understood and it's clear that he's a monster, there is no Q and A.
It's that "Nothing can stop man once he has started" quote.
I definitely believe the church can be sorted out. It is the individuals at Int that the article is about. I will do whatever I can to assist the church to get back on LRH intention but it will not be done inside as you know. Outside I am going to do all that I can to get Scientology fully available to all independents till the church can be fixed.
But, Jimmy, what's up with the LRH quotes sans reference? I want to listen to that lecture myself!
thanks for the article.
Yes there is the "official act" that Ron discusses here and also the old adage that "the ends justify the means" as well which was the trap the GO fell into that now seems to pervade the organization itself, especially Miscavige!
LRH was very clear about this: salvage an individual, and you can salvage a group. I hope you all are progressing and growing, as the CoS is just the beginning of the salvage operation that will be needed here.
I've written my ideas on it on Marty's blog yesterday. I'm thinking California would be the best area because there's so many auditors there.
So it would go roughly
1. Get any legal advice needed.
2. Get a commitment from some admin and tech trained people.
3. Get some funding for a building and just start it.
Doesn't sound too hard.
