I found this quotation to hold considerable truth. If one looks at the modus operandi of current church leadership, one finds this short statement packs a lot of punch. If you’ve been subjected to character assassination by Church officials or their people, black PR’d, or nullified by this "command" structure to "put you in line," then keep this in mind: "A man who embraces the voice of evil when it whispers in his ear is no less evil than the whisperer." - OSC The day will come when we can draw the line and let the good guys, those who want real Scientology, to cross the line without fear of repercussions from the current ruling party. Until that day comes, it helps to put things in perspective. MegalomaniacThere is an old saying that "power corrupts"... fortunately it is not even vaguely a truth otherwise we’d be screwed as thetans in this universe since that is the very essence behind why we’re all sitting in bodies now - convinced of how we need to limit ourselves. It is only relevant when it does in fact corrupt someone. The truth is that it is NOT the power the corrupts a person, the person is already corruptible or weak or is an actual suppressive person and it is the power that exposes their true nature.You can always a test a man or a woman as to their TRUE character by giving them some power and see what they do with it. If they continue to stand by their principles, hold their ship on a course of integrity and values that support humanity, freedom and justice and respect for the lives and rights of people around them, and can still lead men and women, then that person is a real leader. But if they abuse that power, use it to met out all manner of oppression or "justice" in the name of the "greater good" - then that person is not a leader but only stands on the pedestal pretending to be one. David Miscavige has shown that he is not only weak, but that he is an actual SP and that the only way he can maintain his hold on the "throne" is to abuse the tremendous power that is invested in his position by Scientologists around the world. It is an unfortunate fact that Scientology is not actually a republican state where "the people" have the right to vote on their leadership. Being a "religion" of sorts, his position is protected by unquestionable mandates within the Church structure. Again, unfortunate because this system assumes that the person at the top of that hierarchy is the best possible of all men or women with an infallible character. A great concept in a perfect world, except we don’t have that perfect world yet. Megalomania is defined as: 1. A psychopathological condition characterized by delusional fantasies of wealth, power, or omnipotence. 2. An obsession with grandiose or extravagant things or actions. The word megalomania is derived from the Greek words "μεγαλο": megalo-, meaning large, and "μανία": mania, meaning madness, frenzy. The first attested use of the word "megalomania" is in 1890 as a translation of the French word "mégalomanie". Take away the PR and sugar coated stuff coming down the Scientology pipeline to parishioners and the general world and compare the picture to the above definition. Make up your own mind. In view of this, and whether you agree that DM is a "good guy" or "bad guy" or whatever, I think we can mostly agree on this: Scientology is not actually expanding into the world the way we all want it to do. Take away all the articles and PR about "ideal orgs", buildings and such, and just put the actual FACTUAL statistics on the table and you will be astonished to find out that it’s happening at a very SLOW rate - if at all. Or if you think it "must be true because management says so" then go look at a few orgs and see where they stand today compared to years back. Buddhism spread by word of mouth, no promotion, no books, no literature, no media, no legal battles - just on the simple premise that it contained enough truth and knowledge in it to change the minds of MILLIONs of men and women and helped to civilize barbaric nations, by itself. Scientology can do the same, without a megalomanic running it and saturating it with his dictates. In truth, while we continue to raise awareness about this situation and PUT ETHICS IN on the current Church management (not Scientology), we must also continue ourselves to get out there and USE the knowledge and skills we have. We won’t change the world alone by going after David Miscavige. His days are numbered - that’s an inevitability based on LRH policy alone. He can’t continue to commit the magnitude of overts he does, and hides, without one day exploding. But let’s not concentrate just on him as that is a STOP. Get out there, open up your Dianetics book and put someone in session. Your friend, your father, whoever. Help sort out people’s lives, give them help. You don’t even have to say it’s Scientology. It doesn’t matter - all that matters is that you keep doing things to help make a better world, and people will know and recognize that you helped them. We have to keep giving HOPE to the world that there is a higher level of existence, that they don’t have to live with their problems, that they can change, and ultimately that there is a higher road. They’ll find that higher level if we help them wade out of the mud at the bottom. It’s hard to convince a man that he’s spiritual and immortal when he can’t see his way through his daily marital conflicts or his drinking problem. Won’t happen. While we put ethics in on COS and DM, keep changing the world for the better because in the end that is what really counts. People need this knowledge now. DM’s boat already has enough leaks in it - believe me - he’s bailing water out every day. Concentrate heavily on helping the world with what you know. Because you know a lot! ARC wins. ARC rules. ARC cannot be bested. Scientology without real ARC isn't Scientology at all. The terms cannot stand apart from one another.
Beating, confining (imprisoning) a being in lock down in time and space, nullifying, invalidating, spitting on,
are so out of ARC that you have to see this stems from a madman at the helm perverting Scientology.
Only a short few weeks ago he was calling Gold Crew "criminal out ethics scum" that did not deserve the food they ate or the bed they slept on.
Imagine that. After SUCH Internet uproar, the sadistic Miscavige still name calls his own crew (who have the highest quals of all to go up lines to INT base)
The United States asked him and asked him and asked him to simply let inspectors
view his weapons of mass destruction.
The United States warned him they were coming.
But he thumbed his nose at the US and continued to rule sadistically with total power.
But like DM, surrounded with people who agreed with him, pamper him,
and lawyers on high payroll re-assuring him, he just keeps going in his mental Fool's Paradise
One day after many warnings, (absence of doing full Danger Formula) the US invaded and Saddam Hussein was hunted down and tried and hung like a common thief. His billion dollars in Swiss Bank accounts and so on did not protect him.
I see huge similarities between sadistic Saddam Hussein and Sadistic Saddam Miscavige.
All the $10 million dollar check "donations" will not be able to overcome the corruption and sadistic punishment of SO members at INT Base.

That group that values its survival as a group at all would do well to learn group necessity value and how to express it. The group can bring all pressure toward any leader or subleader to effect the highest ARC possible."
Even the online write-ups and videos of the Stanford Prison Experiment show how both dispositional factors *and* situational factors influence how people act in extreme situations. One tends to downplay the situational factors and think it is disposition only, as shown in the article above, but Zimbardo's research shows that is not so.

This is of course a completely valid and ground breaking study and aligns perfectly with LRH's research into the pattern and nature of what he called the Goals Problem Mass. He explained that GPMs are the forgotten residue of past identities the person has been, which are retained deep within the reactive mind, and which comprise fixed patterns of behavior that people fall into. The GPMs are an ancient record of struggle that has taken place over many lifetimes: identities the person lived vs. identities he fought against. LRH found that these identities flicker constantly through the average person's awareness depending on environmental factors, and heavily color reactions. When confronted by a school teacher, the fellow takes on the personality (identity) of "a impatient truck driver." When confronted by a child, he becomes an "abrasive army sergeant." When confronted by a prisoner he becomes an "abusive prison guard." Etc. Some of the patterns of identities contained within the GPMs are common to all people. LRH's amazing lectures on this subject used to be called, "The Expansion of Havingness." I'm not sure what they are called today, but for sure they are some of his greatest, most exciting and eye-opening lectures. It is technology circa 1961. I studied these lectures and wrote the Church's promo for them. That's why I happen to know all about them.
Dr. Zimbardo's discoveries in the Stanford Prison Experiment put a fine point on the theory and show in real life just how deadly the phenomena can be. Thanks again Paul.

No evidence of Weapons of Mass Destruction was ever found by the U.N. Weapons inspectors who *were* allowed to come and view what he had.
